Kendal

Storm Desmond left the people of Cumbria in a state of disaster after a  record rainfall of 405mm over 38 hours was recorded, in the beginning of December 2015. For the national park,  known for the beauty of it’s lakes, it meant severe damage and misery. We were stranded in Windermere, for the duration of our visit, but we did somehow manage the journey to Kendal as the roads slowly started to clear. I think my photographs give a small reflection  of the difficult time the people of Kendal have had to endure this month, not once but several times over.
