Some days you see the ships gnarly old bones, studded with rusting iron pins the size of a man’s forearm, on others you see only the tantalising glimpse of a shape, a shadow, a ghost under the shifting sand. If the rain doesn’t go, pretend you have snow. Longing for some decent light so I can have fun with my new gear. I’m still editing files from weeks ago, when everything seemed a hundred times prettier. Meanwhile in other news, in the space of a week, I’ve had to sort out car issues, we rescued a young pigeon from dying of exposure ( despite the fact I am fed up of the fact his growing family has set up residence under my solar panels, make a terrible mess and keep me awake with their pigeon noises ), came home from an exhausting day in work to find the cat had peed in my wardrobe . Why he doesn’t assist with the pigeon problem is another story. The loo got blocked with the copious amounts of paper I used to clean up the wee, and the u bend under the kitchen sink has become detached from the plug, so water has been pouring into my kitchen cupboards. All of this is somewhat blocking my creativity.
