It was probably the wettest day of the wettest year, when Katie and Leigh had their wedding out at Tredegar Golf Club. I felt so sorry that the black skies and the persistent rain were going to spoil any chance of their wedding photography being taken outside. So on a very grim morning, I prepared for all eventualities, and felt glad that the golf club is such a lovely light and airy venue, where we would be able to capture all those memorable images that every bride and groom look forward to from their wedding photographer. Well…I don’t know how it happened, although I did try to take the credit for booking some sunshine…but we had a pocket of blue sky, and enough of a gap in the clouds to get some beautiful photography and bridal portraits in the grounds!
Katie made an absolutely gorgeous bride, accompanied by her lovely bridesmaids and pageboys, the girls in a lovely baby pink, and the boys in very smart suits. Katies flowers were magnificent, a bouquet made up of the most lovely pink and cream roses, set of by large eucalyptus stems. I could tell Leigh was absolutely bowled over watching her walk down the aisle towards him.
They’re such a fun loving couple, and any anxious worries about rain and puddles were soon cast aside when we made the most of a dry hour right in the middle of the day, to take these lovely romantic portraits. Shots to treasure forever!
