Celebrating Family: Autumn Portraits with Daughters

Well this was a challenge that I was well up for. Linda wanted some portraits taken with her two grown up daughters. She told me it’s been a while since they had a nice one of the three of them together. Phone shots don’t count. Everybody has busy lives now, but mothers miss their children even when they are making their own way in the world, and she was really keen to have a new one for the wall. She’s had a tough year and a few big challenges… This was to be embracing life, celebrating motherhood, womanhood, and her two wonderful daughters. She told me that in the past, her girls have not enjoyed these family phot o sessions ( who does? but my job is to change all that ) and she was concerned that it would be more of the same. She needn’t have worried, the girls pulled out all the stops to be there for their mum, even wearing the colours she had asked for. They knew it was important for her, and they really wanted it to go well, especially her request to have photos in the autumn hues.
