Last weekend, we returned to Cornwall. The high winds, dense fog, and driving rain took a depressing hold of each and every day. Plans to walk, cycle and just be outdoors were limited, and the gloomy light was not great for photography. Even so, we we made the most of our time there. We revisited favourite haunts, and sometimes just enjoyed watching the sea, in the pockets of dry weather as they blew in…and then just as quickly blew away again. My patience was rewarded by a very angry sea off Lands End, and a tiny window in which to capture some waves on camera before the light disappeared completely.
The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever.
