Our children change so quickly. The years fly past in the blink of an eye. You just turn for a second, and when you glance back they are almost as old as you were when you used to carry them on your hip. So strange then that we feel the same sharp pang inside that we did when they grazed a knee, or were upset about some childish hurt from a schoolfriend. And now my girls have grown. Not yet flown.
