What a beautiful day it was, for Chepstow couple Marj and Dave to have their wedding, out at the stunningly beautiful Caer Llan. Set right in the heart of Monmouthshire and the Wye Valley, with views that extend for miles. A picture perfect venue for weddings and wedding photography. With a natural backdrop of the Welsh Hills, I absolutely love taking photographs here! Just on the cusp between Summer and Autumn , the trees were on fire with colour. So glad this fabulous couple booked sunshine as well, it really set the images off nicely.
The newlyweds were so happy, but a little nervous. That all melted away during the civil ceremony, in a room that was perfect, with soft rays of sun shining through the window, and so so many blue and yellow flowers.
Marj walked down the aisle with her son who, fighting back tears of emotion, was reassured by Dave who quickly gave her the sweetest Welsh cwtch ever! She really was the perfect blushing bride, in a very lovely softly draping wedding gown, which suited her tiny figure so beautifully.
The bridesmaids wore very elegant navy blue, with the cutest tulle over skirts, and as is so typical of the smallest bridesmaids, Isla kept us all entertained with her dancing and spinning, in the sweetest white dress, that Isla reliably informed me had no less than nine layers of material!
So much laughter at this celebration surrounded by some crazy friends, and lots of bubbles for the children….well lots of bubbles for the adults too, but that’s another story! Everybody was very relaxed after some super food served by the great staff at Caer Llan, and there was plenty of time to enjoy the gardens, for fun, games, and more photography.
As the afternoon, progressed and the sun became lower in the sky, everything was bathed in a beautiful golden hue. It gave us the opportunity to capture some wonderful, love filled portraits of this charming couple. It was the happiest of days, and I really did enjoy myself with both the bride and groom, and all their lovely friends and family.
Wishing them both all the love and happiness they desire, as they start their life as Mr and Mrs Judson.
