James and Andrea married at the wonderful Caer Llan, which is situated in the most stunning location just a few miles outside Chepstow. The views over the Vale of Usk are extremely beautiful. Its such a perfect venue for a wedding. One of the few days this summer that we have had sunshine all day long. Everything was as it should be to make their special day happy. Surrounded by their loved ones, I think I can say that it was one of the most joyful celebrations I’ve been able to share. I so appreciate that they asked me to cover the wedding photography. Its an honour to be responsible for recording their memories, and wow…there are so many memories.
For a nervous bridegroom, James really cut some shapes, as the bridal party surprised us all by dancing down the aisle to “Now that we’ve found love”, the Hitch version. I had absolutely no idea that he was such a good mover, though of course he has a way to go before he is as accomplished as Will Smith!
It was a lovely relaxed day, where the bride and groom were able to celebrate with everybody, making the most of the fantastic grounds as a very natural backdrop.
Cup cakes and Bucks Fizz, swimming in the pool, and table tennis in the gardens, and lots of laughter as we watched the naughtier guests creeping around the garden to find fallen flowers to decorate the honeymoon suite.
All finished off with a ceilidh! I honestly don’t know where these guys found their energy. James twirled Andrea around the dance floor at high speed, showing off the red heart covered suit, he had been forced to wear on his stag night.
They’re such a lovely couple, I’d love to wish them all the love and luck in the world.
