Emily and Andrew’s Village Wedding in Redwick

 Emily and Andrew celebrated their gorgeous wedding day on a changeable Spring day this March. There was so much laughter as the the ladies got ready at their home in Undy. I’d been asked to do bridal preparation photographs, so I got caught up in the fun too. Champagne on the table along with canapes and lipstick. I caught up with old friend Nic from Just Gorgeous who was organising bridal hair and make up, and the mood was beautiful because of the music that Andrew had arranged beforehand. Each song had true meaning to both the bride and groom. It really made for a wonderful atmosphere.

After whizzing through Magor to Redwick just in time to catch Andrew and the groomsmen sneaking from the pub to the church, I spent some time capturing images of the beautiful and extremely well behaved little bridesmaids and pages. Emily and Andrew had chosen pretty little St Thomas church to celebrate their wedding. Redwick is a small village with a distinctly “Thomas Hardy” feel, and it was a perfect place for capturing the wedding photos with a beautiful rustic feel to them.

Emily’s mum walked her down the aisle. She was a little nervous to start, but soon gained confidence with every step towards the altar. I loved being part of this very pretty wedding with such a chilled bride and groom. I think Emily is one of the most animated brides, and her lovely face has such expression. It was a total pleasure taking photographs of her!

After lots of relaxed photography in the village we quickly escaped to Redwick Village Hall before the rain decided to fall. The hall itself looked just incredible. Full of lights and bunting and the prettiest pink hues. The children made full use of the dance floor before the dancing had officially started, and with champage flowing and the air full of laughter and bubbles, the afternoon seamlessly flowed into fun filled evening.
